Lingard is not going to sign a new contract at Old Trafford and will leave Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer.

Tottenham have their eyes on him for a move on a free transfer at the end of the season but Lingard has suitors in the ongoing transfer window as well.

Newcastle are working on a deal to sign him on loan for the rest of the season and West Ham are hopeful that they can get him this month as well.

But it has been claimed that Manchester United are still not prepared to let him go in the winter transfer window.

The Premier League giants do not see any hope of getting a fee from his departure this month.

And with Covid still disrupting squads across the Premier League, they do not want to lose an option in the middle of the season.

It could boil down to Lingard pushing for a move if Manchester United are to let him go in January.

Lingard has a clear preference for West Ham over Newcastle if he leaves Old Trafford in the next week or so.
