Rangers will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium this evening.

Ramsey has been declared fit to play in the big game for Rangers, which is also likely to be his last European game for the Glasgow giants.

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has insisted that a player of the Juventus loanee’s quality should start the game, but Hartson feels he could be the trump card for the Gers from the bench.

The former striker stressed that Ramsey could be a massive player to come on for Rangers in the last quarter of the game if they needed that extra bit of quality on the ball to win the clash.

Hartson said on the Go Radio Football Show: “You are talking about Aaron Ramsey and yes, he is a match-winner but what a sub to come on!

“If it’s 0-0 or 1-1 with 25 minutes left and you have got Aaron Ramsey with the quality and ask him to go and make that eye of the needle pass or go and gamble and get into the box like a goalscoring midfielder.

“What a substitute he could be!”

Ramsey has struggled with injuries since joining Rangers in January and has only made 12 appearances for the club.
