The 19-year-old right-back has been keen to move away from Lyon in the ongoing transfer window due to interest from the Premier League.

Chelsea are interested in signing him but their €20m bid was rejected by the French giants earlier this month.

The Blues are yet to return with a better offer but Lyon have made a call on Gusto’s future for the time being.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Lyon have made the call to keep the defender until the end of the season.

The French giants are clear about not wanting to see him leave before the end of the transfer window.

However, the possibility of agreeing on a transfer deal for Gusto in the final days of the transfer window remains.

Lyon are open to agreeing on a transfer with the Frenchman spending the rest of the season on loan at the club.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea agree to do such a deal if they want to sign Gusto.
