Sanderson has spent the season on loan at Birmingham from Wolves and has made 31 league appearances for Blues.

The centre-back’s performances have convinced the Championship side to try and sign the 23-year-old on a permanent deal.

It has been claimed that Birmingham have already put in a bid and want a quick answer from Wolves.

The Premier League side are prepared to let him go and want somewhere around £2m from his departure this summer.

Birmingham’s bid is around that asking price but there is still no agreement between the two clubs.

Wolves and Birmingham are currently in talks and are haggling over the payment structure of a deal.

Sanderson is happy to move to Birmingham and is waiting for the two clubs to finalise the agreement.
