The 23-year-old centre-back joined Torino from Dutch outfit Ajax last summer on a four year deal.
Schuurs has been a stand out player for the Italian outfit this season and has featured in 29 league games for Torino.
His performances have sparked interest from several clubs and Liverpool and Manchester United have emerged as serious contenders for his signature.
The Dutchman is also in the radar of Newcastle United as well and they have been monitoring Schuurs’ for some time.
And it has been claimed that Newcastle are ready to check up on Schuurs availability in the upcoming transfer window.
Torino however want to keep the talented centre-back at the club but it has been suggested that they may be forced to sell the player to generate cash.
Schurrs has three years left on his contract with Torino and it remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future for the centre-back.
