Celtic are on the verge of losing their transformational manager with the Australian now expected to travel south of the border to take charge of Tottenham.

It emerged over the weekend that the 57-year-old is now the favourite to become the next Spurs boss.

There were suggestions that a meeting was scheduled between Daniel Levy and Postecoglou but it seems the talks have already gone further than previously expected.

It has been claimed that a verbal agreement over a contract is in place between Tottenham and the Celtic manager.

The Australian will be signing a two-year deal with Tottenham with an option of another year as part of the agreement.

He is on a 12-month rolling contract at Celtic and so the compensation for the Bhoys will be minimal.

Postecoglou joined a small list of Celtic managers to win the domestic treble on Saturday when his side beat Inverness in the Scottish Cup final.

But that is now set to be the Australian’s last game in charge of the Bhoys with Tottenham now his likely destination.
