The north London club are expected to finalise a deal to appoint the Australian as their new manager this week.

Talks have already taken place between Daniel Levy and Postecoglou with the Celtic boss making an impression on the Spurs chairman.

Personal terms are expected to be a formality and a verbal agreement over a two-year deal is already in place between Spurs and Postecoglou.

Tottenham are pushing to get the deal over the line soon and want him to start in his role immediately.

The north London club have work to do over the summer following a disappointing season where they finished eighth in the Premier League table.

Postecoglou has already indicated to Celtic that he is keen to take up the role at Tottenham.

Spurs are hoping that the Australian will be able to recreate the kind of successes he had in the transfer market with Celtic in north London as well.
