Tottenham Hotspur are confident of signing Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush ‘by next week’, with the Egyptian keen on a move to north London, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs have moved to strengthen after a 17th-place finish last season, bringing a host of new faces to N17 to play their part in Roberto De Zerbi’s plans.
The rebuild began in defence, with Jan Paul van Hecke and Marcos Senesi arriving to bolster the centre-back options, while Andy Robertson has been brought in at left-back.

The engine room has also undergone a significant overhaul, with Sandro Tonali arriving from Newcastle United and Mateus Fernandes joining from West Ham United.
Attention has now turned to the attack, with Tottenham targeting two wingers in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Manchester City’s Savinho, as well as a focal point up front in Marmoush.
The 27-year-old contributed eleven goals and assists across 36 appearances last season but was largely deployed in a supporting role behind Erling Haaland.
An agreement is said to have been reached for Savinho, while talks remain ongoing over a deal to bring Marmoush to N17.

And the Lilywhites are confident of completing a deal for the Manchester City striker ‘by next week’, with the forward open to the move.
Should the deal for the former Eintracht Frankfurt man be completed, it could raise further questions over the futures of several Tottenham attackers, with Richarlison and Dominic Solanke both linked with exits.
The England striker has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, while Tottenham are open to selling Richarlison, although the Brazilian wants to remain at a club competing in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
For now, De Zerbi’s attention will turn to Saturday’s opener, with Spurs travelling to face Brentford in their first Premier League fixture.
With a new-look squad taking shape, the focus now turns to which new arrivals will make their competitive debuts and when Spurs’ Manchester City targets could join the fold.
