Newcastle United could offload winger Jacob Murphy before the transfer window closes, with Nottingham Forest looking to sign him, according to journalist Alex Crook.
The Magpies have added in the wing department, notably with the arrival of Bazoumana Toure, while they are also working to sign Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille.
Talks over a big money capture of Fernandez-Pardo are progressing and his arrival could further limit the scope for involvement for Murphy over the course of the campaign.

Nottingham Forest would like Murphy at the City Ground before the window closes and ‘are pushing’ to bring him in as a result.
It is suggested Newcastle ‘could be willing to sanction an exit’ for the winger, who has moved into the final year of his contract at St James’ Park.
Murphy was an ultra-reliable performer for now former Magpies boss Eddie Howe and was regularly trusted with game time.
Howe lauded Murphy for his commitment to improving his game and rated what he brought to the side.

Only last year, Murphy was praised by former Premier League star Matt Jarvis, who commented that he had ‘just gone up levels’.
Now it appears that Newcastle are prepared to contemplate life without Murphy and he has the kind of skills that Nottingham Forest are looking for.
