‘Should Get Done’ – Stoke City Exit Expected

Stoke City selling winger Sorba Thomas to Hull City ‘should get done’, according to journalist Alex Crook.

Thomas has garnered interest throughout the summer transfer window, and Stoke City are in danger of losing him on deadline day.

The 27-year-old was on the wishlist of fellow Championship side West Ham United, but the Hammers have signed Manor Solomon instead and switched their focus away from the Potters star.

Newly promoted Premier League side Hull City have shown interest in Thomas as they look to bolster their attack and fight to remain in the league beyond this season.

It was claimed earlier on deadline day that Thomas is ‘refusing to play’ tonight to force a move to the Tigers before the end of the summer transfer window.

Talks between the two clubs have continued to take place and it appears there is real progress being made.

As such, it is expected that Thomas will be able to complete a move to Hull City before the window closes.

This term, Thomas has made five appearances in all competitions for Stoke City, playing every single minute, but has not registered a single goal contribution.

The Potters may want to bring in a replacement for Thomas to provide more attacking options to manager Mark Robins, who is yet to register a win in the Championship.

The clock is ticking on the Thomas deal and Stoke City will want to drive a hard bargain, but the player’s desire for a move is clear.

Stoke City are due to face Philippe Clement’s Norwich City side in the Championship this evening and Thomas will not be involved in the game.

The Potters have had a poor start to the season, putting Robins under real pressure, and the manager will want to focus on on the pitch matters today rather than the window.
