Croatian midfield maestro Luka Modric, has handed manager Harry Redknapp, a huge boost as he completed a friendly for Tottenham on Tuesday according to the Daily Mail. The 24-year-old has been out since August after a strong tackle from Birmingham’s Lee Bowyer left him with a broken leg.

Redknapp has often sung high praise of the creative midfielder, labelling the former Dinamo Zagreb playmaker as world-class and claiming he would be the focal point of Tottenham’s revamped side after Juande Ramos’ exit last year.

With Modric looking to return, possibly as early as the Wolves match at the weekend, Tottenham will finally be at full strength. Currently fourth in the league, the return of the midfield maestro will undoubtedly improve the North London’s side’s chances of staying in the top four.
