Real Madrid record-breaking signing Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed he still harbours feelings for his former club Manchester United. The Portuguese winger fulfilled a boyhood dream by joining the Spanish giants for a whopping £80M in the summer.
Speaking ahead of the awarding of the Fifa World Player of the Year in Zurich, he said, “What people think about me is their opinion, but I really miss Manchester a little bit as I played there for six years and I left a few friends there. So I miss the club a little bit, but I’m focused now at Real Madrid and I’m really, really happy there.”
Ronaldo has continued his blistering form in the Spanish capital, managing an impressive 13 goals in only 12 appearances for his new club. The 24-year-old however, still follows the latest developments at his former club. “I think Manchester United are doing very well this season – they have lost the last two games but they are still second in the league.”
