Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that he will outlast 20 Manchester City managers before he eventually retires. The Scot has so far seen 14 managers sit in the City hot-seat and expressed surprise it had been that few. "Fourteenth. Is that all?" Ferguson said when told of the figure. "I can’t wait for the twentieth."
Ferguson also poured scorn on City for their manner of sacking Mark Hughes. "It’s [Hughes’ sacking]one thing I don’t need to discuss because it’s so obvious that that kind of behaviour is unacceptable. It doesn’t matter if you’ve lost 20 or two games, as was the case with Mark. There’s a way to treat people surely."
The Man Utd boss also labelled City’s appointment of Roberto Mancini a gamble as the Italian has no experience of managing in the Premier League.
