Bundesliga basement dwellers Nurnberg have signed two players on loan from Bavarian rivals Bayern Munich in a bid to improve their fortunes during the second half of the season. Bayern have also allowed unhappy striker Luca Toni to head to Roma on loan.

Brazilian defender Breno Borges and German defensive midfielder Andreas Ottl have both agreed loan moves until the end of the season. The Franken club will be hoping the signing of this duo can help to lift them up the league. Whilst Roma will hope Toni can deliver a boost to their attacking options.

Both Breno, 20, and Ottl, 24, have been allowed to leave for Nurnberg, and Toni for Roma, as Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal seeks to reduce tension building up amongst the non-playing members of his squad.
