Injury-prone midfielder Tomas Rosicky has signed a new deal with Arsenal, ensuring that his long-term future will be with the North London club. The talented Czech enjoyed a successful start to his Gunners career, slotting in seamlessly with the team’s quick passing and inventive play. Injuries however, limited his appearances in his second season, and he was forced out for the entire 2008/09 campaign with a long-term problem.

"I am so pleased to have signed a new contract with Arsenal. The last two seasons haven’t been easy for me because of injuries but I feel it speaks volumes about the club’s belief in me for this to be signed, and I truly believe I have a lot left to offer the club, my team-mates and all the supporters,” Rosicky said to his club’s official website.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is equally delighted to have secured the 29-year-old’s services, stating, "Tomas’ vision and touch is remarkable and I know that we will all benefit from his input in the coming seasons."
