Camel Meriem is due to have yet another trial with English side Blackburn Rovers, according to France Football.
Meriem has been without a club since leaving Monaco in the summer and has been looking for a route back into the game, with England’s Premier League remaining his preferred destination. He has had several trials at the North West club, only for manager Sam Allardyce, after initially appearing keen, deciding not to offer the 28-year-old a contract. It is thought there were concerns at Ewood Park about money.
Now Meriem will head back to England hoping to bag that illusive contract. A former France international, who has enjoyed spells with Bordeaux, Marseille and Monaco, it is a mystery why Meriem remains a free agent.
