Inter winger Mancini is very close to signing for French side Marseille on loan, according to France Football. The Brazilian, perhaps best known for a truly amazing goal he scored with Roma in the Champions League, is keen to have first-team football in the second half of the season. He has featured little under Jose Mourinho at the San Siro.

Mancini is travelling to France with his advisors on Monday and is expected to meet coach Didier Deschamps to put the finishing touched to a six-month loan deal, with Marseille expected to pay Inter €1.8M.

The Brazilian believes he can be part of his country’s squad for the 2010 World Cup, but to do so regular first-team football is needed. Both parties will be hoping for a successful second half of the season.
