Napoli are making moves to sign their major players to new long-term contracts. Reports from Italy suggest that first up is Argentina striker Ezequiel Lavezzi who is believed to have agreed the terms for a deal which would keep him in southern Italy until 2015.
The Serie A side are now expected to work to agree a new deal with Slovakian Marek Hamsik in order to ward off interest from a host of European giants.
Napoli could also make some noise in the transfer market in the winter window. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is thought to currently be in South America, investigating ways to improve the Serie A club’s squad. With Diego Maradona having worn the sky blue shirt, Napoli have a proud history of South American players.
