Russian side Dynamo Moscow are moving closer towards securing the transfer of Andriy Voronin from Liverpool. The club have agreed a fee of around €2M with the Premier League side and will hope to push the deal through so the Ukrainian striker can join their training base in Turkey.

Voronin decided the time was right to leave Anfield after failing to make an impression, or gain the favour of manager Rafael Benitez, at Liverpool. The 30-year-old is believed to have become disillusioned with the prospect of only fleeting appearances after having enjoyed a full season of first-team football in Germany with Hertha Berlin prior to his summer return to England.

Dynamo Moscow finished mid-table in the 2009 Russian Premier League, but with Voronin to lead their attack will no doubt he hoping for a better 2010. Meanwhile it remains unclear whether Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will be allowed to spend the proceeds from the transfer.
