Wolfsburg’s general manager, Dieter Hoeness, has denied that he is negotiating with AC Milan for the transfer of Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko.
Reports appeared in the Italian press suggesting that Hoeness was attending a dinner with Milan executives, where an offer of €25M would be made for Wolfsburg’s star man. Hoeness though denied this.
He said to German source SID, "Nothing is true."
Dzeko is still featuring highly on Milan’s wanted list and the Italians failed with numerous bids for the striker in the summer. Wolfsburg themselves are enjoying a disappointing campaign in the Bundesliga after winning the title last season.
