Strasbourg are moving closer towards the signing of Cameroonian Albert Baning from Paris Saint-Germain, reports France Football. The Ligue 2 side are keen to strengthen in the winter transfer window and with Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo close to departing Baning has been identified as a good replacement.
Baning has barely featured for PSG since his move from Swiss side Aarau in 2006, having been loaned out to both Sedan and Grenoble.
The 24-year-old represented Cameroon at the 2008 Olympic Games in China, being sent off twice in three matches. Nevertheless he would be expected to excel at Ligue 2 level.
