Bordeaux’s highly-coveted striker Marouane Chamakh has once again reiterated his intention to stay with his current club until the end of the season, after expressing his displeasure at continually being linked with moves to different clubs. Following the exit of Andriy Voronin, Liverpool are the latest to be apparently interested in the Moroccan forward, a link that has left the 26-year-old rather irritated.
“I do not want to see my name in the papers regarding a transfer window move,” Chamakh said to France Football. “I’m tired of reading or hearing rumours saying this team or that team somewhere lacks a centre forward."
The Bordeaux hit-man has been hot property since his breakout season last campaign, where he bagged 22 goals for his club. Arsenal have admitted to being very interested in acquiring Chamakh’s services, but look set to have to wait until at least the summer to sign the in-form player.
