Arsenal misfit Philippe Senderos is desperately seeking the exit door at The Emirates after continually being overlooked by manager Arsene Wenger. The 24-year-old joined the North London club in 2003, but has only managed 64 appearances for the club in five-and-a-half seasons.

"I want to go," he told BBC Sport. "I want and need to be playing ahead of the World Cup. I don’t want to play in the reserves, I just want to play."

The Swiss international, who spent the entirety of last season on loan to Italian giants AC Milan, has managed only two Carling Cup appearances for The Gunners so far this campaign, and is worried he may lose his place in his country’s World Cup squad. With news of Sol Campbell agreeing to return to the club, it seems certain Senderos will be granted his wish sooner rather than later.
