Sol Campbell has revealed that his shock return to Arsenal has a lot to do with the experience factor that he brings to the table. The 35-year-old’s return marks the first time manager Arsene Wenger has asked a player to re-sign for the club.

Asked why he thought he was brought back to the club, Campbell said in The Guardian, "To show the way. Arsene has his reasons, he is a past expert and he knows what to do. I think now he’s probably looking at a little bit of experience just to push the lads through. He made the decisions and he stuck by it. And now, he’s made some new decisions and we go from here."

The North London club will be hoping Campbell’s bid to reintegrate himself to the rigours of Premier League football will be the final ingredient that pushes them closer to silverware.
