Everton’s Lucas Neill has completed a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray after the club accepted a £1M bid for the Australian player. The 31-year-old, who was signed on a free transfer from West Ham in the summer, made only 15 appearances for the Blues.

"Galatasaray have signed Australia international Lucas Neill on a one-and-a-half-year deal from English Premier League side Everton," a statement on the Turkish club’s website said.

Neill will link up with fellow Australian Harry Kewell, who joined Galatasaray from Liverpool in 2008. The former Leeds player has successfully revived his career with the Turkish side, recapturing the form that once made him one of the hottest commodities in Premier League football. The former West Ham man will be eager to follow in his countryman’s footsteps.
