Under-pressure Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara has admitted the club needs to add to the squad in order to avoid any more slip ups. The 42-year-old Italian manager’s position as head of the Turin club has been in danger after a worrying slump in form, that culminated at the weekend in a 3-0 thumping by rivals AC Milan on home soil. The former Italy assistant however, has helped alleviate some of the criticism directed at him, after guiding his squad to the Italian Cup quarter-fianls with a win over Napoli on Wednesday.
"Now we’ll have to intervene in the transfer market," Ferrara told reporters. "Some players have left and they’ll have to be replaced."
Juventus are currently without key players Gianluigi Buffon Maruo Camoranesi, Vincenzo Iaquinta and David Trezequet due to injury. They are also missing Mohamed Sissoko on African Cup of Nations Duty, and Cristian Milinaro and Tiago who have been loaned out.
