Arsene Wenger is confident his new signing Samuel Galindo will be a success – but first he will be sent out on loan. The Gunners have signed the 17-year-old midfielder from Real America for an undisclosed fee and the French coach has high hopes for the youngster.

"Galindo has good technique," commented Wenger, "He is intelligent, 6’2 tall, left-footed and with good stamina. He is a central midfielder who can give good balls."

The Mexican youngster did previously have a trial with Everton, who were thought to be close to concluding a deal, but a trial at Arsenal followed and Galindo opted for The Gunners.

Wenger confirmed that he plans to set Galindo on the same path taken by Carlos Vela, sending the youngster out on loan at once. He told Arsenal’s website, "I’m looking to send him out on loan. We have a few clubs in mind."
