Portsmouth’s Younes Kaboul, who has been linked to several Premier League clubs, is now the subject of interest of Ligue 1 title hopefuls, Lille. The French side have lost defender Nicolas Plestan for two to three months and are desperate to reinforce their defence as they step up their title bid.

Lille have been very impressive as of late, winning nine of their last ten matches, propelling them to second in Ligue 1, just seven points behind league leaders Bordeaux.

According to France Football, the side are so eager to capture Kaboul, from cash-strapped Portsmouth, that they are willing to part immediately with €10M to capture the former Auxerre and Tottenham player as soon as possible.
