24-year-old Norwegian defender Knut Olav Rindaroy will visit Everton today until Thursday in an attempt to seal a transfer to the Merseyside club. Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen, director of the player’s club Molde, has confirmed the player, who has had one cap for Norway, is in talks over a possible move to David Moyes’ side.

"I can confirm that Knut Olav, according to plans, will visit Everton from Tuesday to Thursday," said Jacobsen in The Guardian. "We have got signals that they want to fly him over so that he gets to see the club and meet with them – but that doesn’t mean that anything is clear yet."

Everton are in need to reinforce their defence having recently lost Lucas Neill to Galatasaray, and are still yet to welcome back long-term injury victims, Phil Jagielka and Tony Hibbert.
