Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has conceded he is pondering a move for a centre-half in the transfer window after revealing Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate are both out with long-term injuries.
Ahead of Tottenham’s match with Liverpool, Redknapp spoke of his unenviable position of being forced to play a midfielder in defence, saying in The Guardian, "Tom [Huddlestone] could play there but if he’s injured as well, that is the problem. Wilson Palacios could probably play there at a pinch but you wouldn’t want to go and play 16-17 games with him at centre-half so it’s something we’re looking at again."
Spurs have been linked with Portsmouth defender Younes Kaboul who played under Redknapp during the Englishman’s reign at the club. Simon Kjaer, a Danish international playing for Palermo, is the other being linked with a move to the top four hopefuls.
