With Sulley Muntari picking up a thigh injury in training, and Dejan Stankovic still out injured, Inter Milan are looking for reinforcements to a midfield that has already lost Patrick Vieira to Manchester City. Manager Jose Mourinho is said to be tracking Lazio’s Cristian Ledesma and Toulouse’s Moussa Sissoko.
According to calciomercato.it, the Argentinean 27-year-old Ledesma, is Inter’s priority, with Sissoko being considered only should the deal with Lazio fall through. The Aquile player hasn’t featured for his club this season, having fallen out with management, in a situation similar to Goran Pandev’s, who recently joined the Nerazzurri.
20-year-old Frenchman Sissoko, who has been likened to the highly regarded Vieira, has been an impressive regular for his club in the last few seasons. His team’s €15M valuation of him however, is likely to ensure he remains with the Ligue 1 side.
