After just six months since his transfer from Real Madrid to AC Milan, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar looks certain to be on the move again. According to L’Equipe, the former prolific Ajax striker is on his way to Bundesliga side Hamburg SV.
The Dutchman has been a frustrated figure at the San Siro this season, scoring only three goals in 12 appearances for the Italian giants. Such a return is a far cry from Huntelaar’s back-to-back 36 goal hauls for Ajax before his ultimately disappointing switch to Real Madrid in 2009.
Although Huntelaar is still highly regarded in the Holland set up, it is believed he is keen to move to a club where he can prove his worth as a top-class striker.
