La Liga and Racing Santander starlet Sergio Canales has been the subject of massive interest from clubs around the world after recently bursting on to the scene with two clinically taken goals against Sevilla. The 18-year-old has attracted particular interest from Real Madrid, who, according to Spanish paper Marca, have set a Tuesday deadline for the youngster to decide if he will join Los Blancos.
Canales has publicly expressed his desire to remain at his current club, with regular first-team action his number one priority. Real are however, keen to test his resolve having already offered a massive pay raise should he agree to join.
The player’s father is believed to have just returned from England, where he held talks with Chelsea and Manchester City, who are also reportedly interested in signing the Spanish whiz-kid.
