The 2008/09 Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg, have emerged as a potential destination for out of favour Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos, according to The Guardian. With Sol Campbell returning to the Gunners squad, the Swiss international has fallen further down the pecking order, and is desperate to move to a club that will boost his World Cup chances.
Premier League club Everton and Scottish giants Celtic are also believed to be tracking the 24-year-old centre-half. Senderos has only managed League Cup appearances for the North London club this season, and has publicly stated his desire to leave for a team that will play him more regularly.
Wolfsburg have failed to rekindle the form that made them champions last season, and are keen to shore up a defence that has conceded 35 goals already, the second most allowed by any German club in the campaign so far.
