Following Manchester United’s Anderson being linked with a move to French club Lyon by the British press over the weekend, the player’s agent has denied any move, according to France Football.

Reports from England suggested that Lyon were preparing to take Anderson to Ligue 1, but the truth of the matter is that the Brazilian’s wages at Old Trafford make any move to the French side unlikely. Despite Lyon’s wealth, built from years of consecutive appearances in the Champions League, they would be unable to afford Anderson’s €250,000 net per month salary.

Also a factor steering Lyon away from the Man Utd man is that he would be unable to turn out for the French in the Champions League knockout round.
