After dispatching of city rivals AC Milan at the weekend despite finishing the game with nine men, Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has fired a warning to his former club and Champions League foe, Chelsea.

"We know we’ll meet a super opponent,” said the newly turned 47-year-old Portuguese manager to Gazzetta dello Sport. “But Chelsea knows that they will not have it easy. Inter this year is better than last year. Much better. This is my team now. A team made in my image and likeness.”

The ever confident Mourinho will face the tough task of guiding Inter to the quarter-finals, a feat that the club has failed to do in their recent campaigns in the competition. With the outspoken manager widely believed to have been brought to the San Siro for the sole purpose of bringing Champions League glory, February’s clash with Chelsea will be highly scrutinised.
