Everton new-boy Philippe Senderos has jumped out and expressed his belief that he only had himself to blame for his failure to impress at Arsenal. The Swiss international featured in a meagre three appearances for The Gunners this season, and was desperate to acquire regular football to boost his World Cup chances.
"They gave me a fair chance," Senderos said The Guardian. "But at big clubs you have a lot of players and two or three games a week and, if they come in and do well, they will take your place. That’s what happened to me. I don’t think I’ve been unfairly treated apart from the last few months but even then the players in the team were doing well and staying in.”
The promising 24-year-old spent last season on loan to Italian giants AC Milan in a largely unimpressive spell, but has shown previous flashes of brilliance that suggest he his more than capable to compete in the Premier League.
