Russian side Dynamo Moscow had been hoping to tempt Liverpool’s Yossi Benayoun to join former team-mate Andriy Voronin in Russia, but the bid looks to have failed. Despite reportedly agreeing terms with the Israeli star’s agent, Dynamo have hit a brick wall when lodging their interest with the Premier League club.
It is believed that Dynamo were willing to pay as much as £7M to take Benayoun to Moscow, but Liverpool have dismissed their interest and stated the attacking midfielder is not for sale.
With Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez unlikely to be given the money from Benayoun’s sale to spend in the January transfer window, it was always a long-shot that the move would take place. The Russian side could revisit their interest in the summer however.
