According to Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent, Dr Oliver Wendt, the Tottenham striker is “70-75%” sure to make the switch to Birmingham City. Manager Alex McLeish has recently publicly expressed his fascination for the Russian, and is hoping Spurs will agree to lower their asking price.
“We are talking to Birmingham and the problem is the transfer money," Wendt told Soccernet. "Both clubs are talking about money right now and I hope they find a way and Roman will move to Birmingham. I hope it will be done in the next two or three hours. I think 70% it will be done. You never know, something in the last minute something might happen. It is 70-75%."
Should Pavlyuchenko make the switch to The Blues, McLeish will have acquired the striker he has been trying to sign since he joined the club in 2007.
