After finally completing the switch to Manchester City from Middlesbrough, highly rated youngster Adam Johnson reveals his main reason for switching to the mega-rich club is ambition. The 22-year-old fully believes The Citizens, under manager Roberto Mancini, are ready for bigger things, and he wants to be a part of it all.
"I came here because this is a club going places and doing really well," he said in the Manchester Evening News. “The key word for me is ambition – this is an ambitious club and there is a good chance of winning things and of making myself into a better player by playing with top players in training every day. I want to be the best player I can possibly be."
Johnson, following the departure of Stewart Downing, has been causing quite a stir with his impressive performances for Middlesbrough in the Championship, making it no surprise City have had their heads turned.
