Alessandro Mancini succeeded in his attempt to escape from his Inter Milan nightmare by unexpectedly joining bitter city rivals AC Milan. Although the Brazilian is ecstatic of his new opportunity to prove his worth, Milan owner and Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, is far from impressed.

I really don’t understand it,” Berlusconi said to Jerusalem’s Italian community. “He is another creative player when we need someone who can finish off moves. He’s not played for two years. I don’t agree with getting him and I’ve told Galliani."

The former Roma standout made just 26 appearances for Inter since his move in 2008, and has publicly stated his desire to acquire more first-team football. Although he has triumphed in his wish to leave Jose Mourniho’s side, regular first-team football is far from guaranteed in the packed Milan midfield.
