Following Chelsea’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Hull, manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his intention to allow John Terry to fly to Dubai should he need to settle personal matters with his wife. The England captain has found himself at the centre of an extramarital scandal involving Wayne Bridge’s former partner, causing many to question his morals and his position as skipper of the country.

"This is an issue for me and John Terry; it’s not your problem,” Ancelotti said to the British press. ”You will see the line-up for Cardiff. If he needs to have a holiday I will give him a holiday. If he doesn’t need a holiday he will play against Cardiff."

With the media frenzy surrounding Terry, and the dwindling gap between Manchester United, Chelsea’s massive weekend match against Arsenal has become all the more important.
