22-year-old Real Madrid youth product, Esteban Granero, has shined in recent performances, particularly in the weekend’s 3-0 win over Espanyol. The young Spaniard, who was bought back from Getafe in the summer, has experienced an upturn in form, something he attributes to the extreme competition at Los Blancos.
"Going to work at Valdebebas every day with this team is a blessing and I need to enjoy every day of it,” Granero said to Spanish paper Marca. “The competition here is tough and those of us with so much to prove still cannot slip up. This is Real Madrid and I can never lose focus."
Granero has managed 21 appearances for Real already this season, an impressive tally for a player of such a young age. With his penchant for hard work and his desire to succeed at the Bernabeu, the future looks bright for the midfielder.
