Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, ahead of a crucial period for the Premier League leaders, has singled out striker Didier Drogba for special praise, after the Ivorian fired The Blues to a 2-0 win against title and city rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
“He is a very individual type of player,” said Ballack in the club’s official website. “He is different from Rooney or Arshavin. He is unbelievable, with physical strength and technical ability. He’s a striker but also a freekick taker. In fact, he is a striker with a lot of other qualities. Not many players have this.”
Drogba has been deserving of all the special praise directed at him, having already bagged an outstanding 22 goals in 26 appearances for Chelsea this season.
