AS Roma have surprised many by sneaking into second spot in the Serie A, now nine points behind leaders Inter Milan and two points ahead of the stumbling AC Milan. This sudden rise in form has been attributed to remarkable work that former Juventus and Chelsea manger Claudio Ranieri has done since his appointment in September of last year.

We had to start again from scratch," Ranieri, said in Fifa.com. “Forget the beautiful game – I want you to go out their and fight. Give it your all and show what you’re made of. Believe in yourselves right to the final whistle. If a coach is lucky enough to have a bunch of guys who understand and accept this kind of message, the results are bound to follow."

And the results have indeed followed, with Claudio Ranieri’s side impressively winning their last eight matches in all competitions.

Spurs have drawn four of their last seven games, throwing away an opportunity to solidify their Champions League qualification hopes. Their quest to break into the top four continues when they visit Wolverhampton tonight.
