Although he hasn’t played since late December, Glen Johnson has been largely impressive since his transfer from Portsmouth in the summer. The England right-back is nearing a return to training, and admits he his having a torrid time being forced to watch his team-mates play from the stands.
"I’m probably the worst fan ever, though, because I just want to be out there,” Johnson said to Liverpool’s official website. "I can feel myself jolting and trying to help, but you’ve just got to sit and watch, which is annoying. The lads have been fantastic and the results speak for themselves.”
The 25-year-old, who was first feared to have torn his cruciate ligament, will likely be back in action for The Reds in March,.
