The future of current Russia coach Guus Hiddink is somewhat clearer today with the news that he has decided to leave his job as coach of the national team.

Hiddink, writing in his column in Dutch paper De Telegraaf stated: "After a very pleasant conversation with the new Federation President, we have decided that after the expiry of my contract on 30th June we will part from each other."

The current Russia coach is sure to be in demand once he leaves Moscow, with a number of big European clubs watching developments closely.

The success of Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea makes a return to Stamford Bridge an unlikely prospect, despite Hiddink’s friendship with owner Roman Abramovich, but Juventus, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the 63-year-old in recent months.
