Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock was livid after his side’s 2-2 draw with Premier League club Aston Villa, where a goal in the last three minutes kept the Championship team from progressing in the FA Cup. The former Sheffield United boss was incensed by assistant referee Trevor Massey’s decision to wrongly award a corner that resulted in the equaliser.

"Their second goal is a disgrace," said Warnock after the nail-biting affair. "We gave everything and in the end we were let down by incompetence. I’ve been told that if Mr Massey got it wrong, he’ll be suspended. I hope he is and I hope it’s for a long time."

The replay is set to be played on the 24th of February, four days before Villa face Manchester United in the Carling Cup final.
