Manchester United have confirmed on their official website that Nemanja Vidic and Anderson will be among those that have been left behind for the clash at the San Siro on Tuesday night. The duo join the recently injured Ryan Giggs in remaining in England to recover from their knocks.

Aside from the injured trio and long-term victim Owen Hargreaves, United travel to Italy close to full force, with domestically banned pair Rio Ferdinand and Nani cleared and likely to feature against European heavyweights AC Milan.

The Red Devils will be keen to exact revenge on the Italian giants, who have been responsible for the club’s exit in the Champions League on numerous occasions in recent years. Despite AC Milan struggling in the Serie A in the last few weeks, Tuesday’s match with the Premier League champions is expected to far from a one-sided affair.
