Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is extremely excited to make his return to boyhood club Lyon tonight, when his side visit the Stade Gerland in a vital Champions League match. The 22-year-old striker left the French giants in the summer, and is fully aware of the dangers that face his team in his hometown.
One of the players that Benzema has placed in special regard is goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, saying to UEFA.com, "Lloris is a great keeper capable of fantastic saves. Last season, I played with him at Lyon and I saw first hand how good he is. If Lloris is on form, it will be difficult for us to score against him."
Real have been decisively beaten in their last two outings at the Stade Gerland, and will be looking to change that pattern in tonight’s match.
